CBC provides low-income adults with fully-outfitted commuter bicycles and five hours of training on safe bicycle commuting. Foreign funded initially but in the future, BFA will organize local bicycle recycling events. This program will provide a flexible option to meet the transportation needs of low-income adults.
2. reaching kids
During the holidays, kids bike will be given out to low-income children and let them pick out their own bike (only to kids with no previous bike)! The kids will also be taught how to ride the bike properly through a series of practice and culminating in a fun ride.
3. linking cyclists to community
Cyclist-volunteers run the B4U programs from giving training, assisting with programs to cleaning or fixing bikes and more. Orientation and training will be provided for the prospective volunteers.
